Development of methods for mathematical modeling and applications

Our institute offers unique training and research opportunities in the development and application of mathematical modelling methods. From computer-aided geometric modelling to program design, we cover a wide spectrum of mathematical applications and their practical implementations.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Research areas in mathematics, including network theory, functional equations, mathematical statistics, numerical analysis, optimization, boundary value problems, nonlinear differential equations, ring theory, and number theory
  • Expertise in computer-aided geometric modelling of curves, surfaces, and solids
  • Applications such as robust estimators, regression analysis, quality assurance, fracture mechanics, superfinishing, consumption forecast, characterization of abrasive surfaces, and estimation of tool life
  • Program design, programming, and gamification techniques for teaching
  • Proficiency in computer graphics and CAD systems

TOOLS:

  • High-performance servers and computer systems for numerical simulation and data processing
  • Maple and MATLAB software for mathematical computation
  • 3D printer and associated software for prototyping
  • Holovision 3D display technology for immersive visualization
