Impact studies

The "Impact tests" are carried out using different types of equipment.

1. PS300 equipment:

Impact energy: 300 J
Purpose: Impact testing of test specimens over a wide temperature range (metals and their alloys, metal matrix composites).

2. PSD 300/150 equipment:

Impact energy: 300 J
Purpose: Impact testing of test pieces over a wide temperature range (metals and their alloys, metal matrix composites).

3. CEAST Resil 25/15 equipment:

Impact energy: 25 J
Purpose: Impact testing of test specimens (polymers, ceramics, polymer and ceramic matrix composites).

This equipment allows to test the impact properties and behaviour of specimens under different materials and temperature conditions. Impact testing is important in the design and quality control of materials and structures, as it helps to determine the fracture properties and resistance of materials to impact.
