In our laboratory, we use the Controls Proctor compaction machine (33-T8502) to perform compressibility tests using the modified Proctor method. These tests allow us to determine the optimum water content and maximum dry bulk density for different soil samples.
The testing process consists of the following steps:
- Sample preparation: Soil samples are carefully prepared for the test and the required volume is determined.
- Compaction: the soil samples are compacted using our compaction equipment in different water content ranges.
- Measurements: After compaction, we measure the mass and volume of the samples and record the data.
- Graphical Evaluation: Based on the data collected, we produce graphs to determine the optimum water content and maximum dry weight by volume.
Modified Proctor tests are used to get an accurate picture of soil compressibility and ideal water content for different jobs and projects. Based on the laboratory results, various geotechnical projects can be efficiently designed and implemented.
Choose our laboratory for compactability testing and you can be sure to get expert advice and high quality results!
