EIT RawMaterials START-UP Idea Contest
We are pleased to inform the university community that our Start-Up Competition is being held again! This time, we are looking for innovative ideas that can bring a real breakthrough in the fields of circular economy and sustainable raw material management.
We welcome your applications in the following topics:
- Circular Economy: How do you plan recycling processes?
- Recycling: How can recycling be made more efficient?
- Substitution: How do you find alternatives to traditional raw materials?
- Processing: What innovative processing methods would you use?
- Raw Material Research: How would you develop the research and extraction of raw materials?
You can approach these topics from various perspectives, and there are no rigid boundaries. The idea competition is open to creativity and innovation, so we eagerly provide space for all interesting and potential ideas. Apply and demonstrate how you can shape the future!

The competition has a budget of 1 million HUF, which will be distributed at the Demo-Day on November 29, 2023. If you're serious about competing, we recommend participating in our preparatory program as well!
Location of the incubation program: University of Miskolc Start-up Center, 'Kerekerdő' on the ground floor of the C/2 building (at the entrance toward the Faculty of Humanities Workshop Hall). Map and address.
The competition schedule:
- November 15, Wednesday, 15:00-19:00 – ME Start-up Center - First session: Overview of program topics, Business Model Canvas, Business Plan
- November 22, Wednesday, 15:00-19:00 - ME Start-up Center – Second session: Pitch training
- November 30, Wednesday, 9:00-13:00 ME Start-up Center - Demo-Day: Day of the competition

Support: Between 200,000 – 500,000 HUF can be won.
