Shear tests

The “Shear tests” are carried out using several pieces of equipment.

1. ZD10, ZD40, ZD100 equipment:

Load: 100 kN, 400 kN, 1000 kN
Purpose: Testing of test specimens, structural members and structures at room temperature in an ambient environment.

2. MTS 312, MTS 810 equipment:

Load: 250 kN
Purpose: To test specimens, structural members and structures over a wide temperature range in ambient and non-ambient media, depending on the material quality and size of the specimen.

This equipment enables shear tests to be carried out under different loading conditions and allows the behaviour and strength of materials and structures under shear load to be understood and analysed.
