The project aims to create outstanding RDI results and their economic exploitation. The intellectual base for the implementation will be the existing intellectual resources of the consortium members and those that will be added (employment of new researchers). The infrastructure base can be understood in the same way, with the university physically concentrating its laboratory infrastructure, which also integrates a significant share of the equipment purchases related to the RDI activities generated by the partners. With these conscious improvements, the infrastructure will be able to respond to the needs of the economy and to achieve efficient knowledge and technology transfer. In the project, the consortium partners will create a novel division of labour in all aspects of their RDI activities, avoiding the creation of parallel capacities, while creating efficient synergistic cooperation chains. Human and infrastructural improvements will lay the foundations for the development of a sustainable RDI system beyond the project, integrating it into the partners’ organisations and operational processes. The technological services developed and incubated in the project, and the associated scientific intellectual bases that underpin them, will also ensure that the potential needs of future economic partners are served on a business basis, thus extending the boundaries of the university’s scientific operations, strengthening its intellectual outreach and bridging role.
