EIT RawMaterials START-UP Ideas Competition 2024:
We are pleased to inform the citizens of the University that our Start-Up Competition will be held again! This time, we are looking for innovative ideas that can make a real breakthrough in the field of circular economy and sustainable raw material management.
We are looking forward to your applications in the following topics:
- Circular Economy: How do you design recycling processes?
- How do you design recycling circuits?
- How do you find alternatives to traditional raw materials?
- Processing: What innovative processing methods would you use?
- Raw material research: How would you improve the research and extraction of raw materials?
You can approach these topics from many different angles and there is no rigid framework. The competition is open to creativity and innovation, so all interesting and potential ideas are welcome. Sign up and show us how you can shape the future!

The competition has a budget of HUF 1 million, which will be distributed at the Demo-Day on 6 May 2024. If you’re serious about entering the competition, we recommend you take part in our preparation programme!
Location of the incubation programme: the Start-up Centre of the University of Miskolc, on the ground floor of the building C/2 “Kerekerdő” (at the entrance to the Workshop Hall towards the Faculty of Humanities). Map and address.

- 2024. 22 April, 15.00 – 18.00 ME Start-up Centre – ME Start-up Centre – First session: Programme overview, Business Model Canvas, Business Plan
- 2024. 29 April 15.00 – 18.00 – ME Start-up Centre – ME Start-up Centre – Second session: Pitch training
- 2024. 13 May 13:00 – 17:00 ME Start-up Centre – Demo-Day: Competition Day
Support: between 200.000 – 500.000 HUF.
